📋 Description

• Analyze assigned product performance and identify issues and opportunities • Research new ideas to improve product offerings • Test new rating models to determine prediction accuracy, loss ratio improvement and segmentation • Analyze and develop algorithms using SAS programming and Microsoft Excel • Prepare reports, graphs and charts based on research and analysis • Participate in business plans and forecasts while identifying trends • Work with multifunctional groups to communicate and implement product changes in assigned states and line of business • Support Product Managers with product performance analysis, rating and product offering development, and profitability and growth initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of the Summer 2026 Internship at Mercury Insurance • Required 1+ years of product management, product development and/or analytical experience in insurance, financial services, consulting, or similar industry, or equivalent combination of education/experience • 1+ years of property casualty insurance experience with product, pricing, underwriting and insurance regulation knowledge • Preferred experience in data manipulation using tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Python or equivalent • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SQL required • Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills required • Proven history of taking initiative and driving projects to completion required • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field of study preferred
