📋 Description

• Implement Mercy's managed care strategy • Develop and manage relationships with health plans and internal and external stakeholders • Coordinate commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid Managed Care, and other third-party managed care contracts • Manage payer relation activities • Ensure appropriate communication to internal and external constituents regarding programs, services, and relevant information • Perform duties consistently with Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Managed Care required • Contracting experience preferred • Experience in healthcare finance or revenue cycle is a plus and may be considered trainable for the right candidate, even without a Managed Care or Provider Relations background • Strong financial acumen • Analytical ability and efficiency • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment • Effective and timely decision-making • Well-developed oral and written communication skills • Understanding of health care delivery systems and the local/national health care environment • Strong industry relationships and understanding of hospital-physician dynamics • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously • Ability to complete projects on time and meet deadlines • Ability to learn quickly and understand Mercy services and market potential • High ethical standards
