📋 Description

• Coach and support Merit America learners so they can succeed in the program and beyond • Manage learners across career tracks including IT Support, Data Analytics, UX Design, Project Management, Cybersecurity, Human Resources, Semiconductor, and Supply Chain Management • Plan and deliver career coaching and facilitate professional skill development • Foster supportive learner environments and build empathetic coaching relationships • Monitor learner progress using quantitative and qualitative data • Provide personalized feedback, motivation, guidance, and accountability • Adapt coaching to individual learner needs and program goals • Maintain communication across coaching and cross-functional teams • Deliver live and asynchronous career coaching • Facilitate job sourcing and promote entry-level opportunities • Review and edit resumes, prepare learners for interviews, support LinkedIn profiles, and guide networking strategies • Track job placement progress and verify outcomes using internal reporting systems • Program Career Coach: support learners from Foundations through Immersion, deliver 1:1 and group coaching, monitor online coursework, intervene when learners fall behind, coach time management and goal setting, and evaluate engagement experiments • Alumni Career Coach: manage a high-volume post-Immersion employment caseload, provide job-search tools and outreach, collaborate with Employer Partnerships, connect learners with employers, and identify systemic barriers to job success

• Committed to Merit America’s mission to pave pathways to family-sustaining careers, break the poverty cycle, and create upward mobility for low-wage workers • Demonstrated history of embodying Merit America’s values • Shared sense of responsibility and ownership for collective work • Committed to continuous learning and growth in advancing inclusive excellence • Passionate about fostering an inclusive workplace culture • Strong knowledge of resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills, effective written and verbal communication, LinkedIn networking, and general job search strategies • Previous experience with career coaching, tutoring, education, counseling, youth development, non-profits, or other mission-driven work • Able to tailor support to individual learner needs • Strong relationship-building and communication skills • Ability to understand, empathize with, and serve people of diverse backgrounds • Able to take initiative and work autonomously in an evolving environment • Exceptional operational and organizational skills; ability to manage schedules and multiple demands • Willingness to seek new information, knowledge, skills, and capabilities • Weekend availability • Availability for evenings as late as 10pm ET and weekends • Must reside within the 50 states or District of Columbia • Full authorization to work in the 50 U.S. states and District of Columbia • No employment visa sponsorship is offered
