• Design and/or check deliverables for Power Generation projects, including Single Line diagrams, three line diagrams, AC & DC elementaries, equipment and switchboard wiring diagrams, bills of materials, vendor mechanism drawings, and logic diagrams • Coordinate electrical work with a multi-disciplined team throughout the project development process • Ensure assigned projects are completed on time, on budget, and to client expectations • Participate in and/or lead design review meetings • Establish client relations and assume a lead role at project meetings • Communicate project and technical information • Back-check own work to minimize rework • Perform administrative and engineering-office support activities as needed • Travel to client facilities to gather field information and participate in design review meetings or other activities
• BS Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university • 10-15 years of experience; at least 10 years required • Experience with multi-discipline projects in fossil and hydro power generation • California PE license • Familiarity with PG&E, SCE, or other power-generating utility processes preferred • Experience with low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution • Experience with low-voltage and medium-voltage motor controls • Experience interfacing industrial processes to DCS and/or PLC systems • Experience using power distribution system modeling software such as ETAP or similar • Ability to understand and apply engineering design principles • Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Good verbal and written communication skills • Good interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment • Willingness to accept responsibility • Ability to work on high-performance teams • Detail-oriented; capable of carrying out tasks with all necessary details
