📋 Description

• Work in a project team environment designing, modifying, and analyzing new and existing nuclear power plant electrical systems • Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve electrical engineering issues • Prepare and review engineering design change packages • Prepare and review engineering calculations, including AC/DC power studies, short circuit, cable ampacity, voltage drop, breaker coordination, motor starting, and protective relay settings • Prepare and review equipment procurement specifications • Participate in bid review evaluations for equipment vendors • Prepare and review conceptual design scoping documents and constructability reviews • Interface with Mechanical, Structural, Civil, and I&C engineering and design disciplines • Support client interactions and vendor document reviews • Attend client meetings and site field walkdowns • Travel to client and vendor offices and plant sites for design reviews, construction coordination, and field verification • Support site installation activities during project implementation • Assist the project manager with completing projects on time and within budget • Define scope and deliverables, review team progress, submit status reports, resolve open items, and coordinate project deliverables

🎯 Requirements

• Electrical engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program • Five or more years’ experience designing electrical engineering systems for industrial applications, focused on existing nuclear power plants • Experience selecting equipment and materials and preparing engineering design change packages, calculations, and specifications • Experience with low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems, including transformers, generators, motors, and relays • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Detail-oriented approach to work • Capable of being badged for unescorted access to a nuclear power station • U.S. work authorization; the company does not sponsor employees for work authorization • PE license valued but not required • MSEE valued but not required • Willingness or ability to lead others using data, automation, AI, and modern engineering tools • Oversight of automation using Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel valued but not required • Additional Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Software Engineering learning valued but not required
