• Direct, lead, and supervise instrumentation and control (I&C) and construction-focused scopes • Support continued growth of Shermco’s Systems Integration services and develop long-term client relationships • Ensure construction, maintenance, and outage activities are executed safely, on time, and on budget • Prepare construction estimates, timelines, budgets, and documentation • Manage construction plans and deliverables for smaller projects and contribute to larger projects • Track large construction plans, identify gaps, and develop closure plans • Coordinate project financials, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and actuals tracking • Manage internal and external resources, field supervision, craft personnel, and subcontractors • Define tasks, completion dates, work plans, milestone schedules, and construction cost/benefit estimates • Manage construction scope changes, risks, issues, mitigation strategies, and contingency plans • Communicate construction status across all organizational levels • Establish collaborative relationships to maximize construction efficiency and resource allocation • Support RFP processes for new opportunities
• 10+ years experience in heavy industrial Construction Management required • Journeyman Electrical license required • Master Electrical license preferred • Expert level knowledge of NEC and NFPA-70 • Intimate knowledge of industrial electrical installation practices, including rigid, EMT, IMT and plastibond conduits, cable tray, copper & fiber optic cables, instrumentation, PLC and control panels • Ability to read, understand and interpret project specifications, P&ID’s, electrical layout & wiring drawings, conduit & cable schedules, and other project documents • Ability to work safely and contribute to a safety-focused team • Formal Construction Management training preferred • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others • Strong presentation and facilitation skills • Excellent written/verbal communications skills required • Understanding of core construction processes with hands-on expertise in at least one discipline • Knowledge of construction planning process and methodology • Ability to adapt to changes quickly and work within a diverse, cross-functional team environment • Vendor/contract management experience preferred • Must be flexible and willing to work out-of-town with regular overnight travel • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations • Should be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam when required • Must pass pre-employment and periodic random drug tests • Must pass pre-employment criminal background check • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without employer-sponsored visa • Must fluently read, write, and speak English
