📋 Description

• Serve as primary liaison between business stakeholders, the Data Governance Council, data domain owners, and technical teams • Elicit, document, and prioritize data governance requirements across enterprise data domains • Facilitate data governance workshops and working sessions • Establish business definitions, data standards, business rules, data definitions, and domain onboarding plans • Profile data and analyze source systems and data structures to assess content, quality, and structure • Develop source-to-target data mapping specifications and transformation logic • Validate mappings with Master Data Management (MDM), integration, and platform teams • Identify data quality issues and contribute to metadata and lineage documentation • Create and maintain data catalogs and documentation of data models, flows, and transformation rules • Coordinate with platform SMEs to validate requirements and support implementation in MDM, data hub, and integration platforms • Track mapping progress, dependencies, and issues; provide updates and resolve blockers • Understand data requirements for HR, Finance, Legal, and Professional Services functions • Analyze and document legacy data sources, structures, and business rules • Support ETL activities, including profiling, cleansing, and validation of migrated data • Perform data quality assessments and implement validation processes • Assist in designing and testing data integrations between enterprise platforms and business applications • Identify and resolve data-related issues during migration and post-implementation • Provide updates and insights to project leaders and stakeholders on migration progress and risks • Support ongoing data governance and quality initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related fields • 7-9 years of experience in data governance, data analysis, or data management, preferably supporting large-scale system implementations or migrations • Strong experience with data analysis, data profiling, data mapping, and ETL processes • Experience working with Data Governance Councils, Data Stewardship teams, or similar governance bodies • Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into data governance, data quality, and data management solutions • Experience conducting requirements elicitation, stakeholder interviews, process analysis, and documentation • Experience analyzing enterprise data domains and business processes to identify governance opportunities, define policies, and improve data quality and consistency • Proficiency with SQL and Python • Experience working with relational databases • Ability to interpret and translate business requirements into technical specifications • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to facilitate workshops and collaborate across business and technical teams • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without immigration support or sponsorship now or in the future • Preferred: experience with HRIS, Finance, Legal, or Professional Services Automation systems • Preferred: experience participating in or leading Enterprise Data Governance Council initiatives • Preferred: familiarity with MDM, data cataloging, and data quality best practices • Preferred: experience with Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica, or Alation • Preferred: experience establishing business glossaries, data stewardship processes, and metadata management practices • Preferred: experience in insurance, risk management, or financial services • Preferred: knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security
