📋 Description

• Provide expert guidance on occupational safety, hazard control, and regulatory compliance • Serve as SME across safety areas including construction, electrical, fall protection, PPE, and hazard analysis • Conduct inspections, investigations, and risk assessments; develop corrective action plans • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures • Review construction and project plans to ensure safety compliance • Develop and deliver safety policies, guidance, and training programs • Support national safety program tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement • Represent GSA in meetings with agencies, regulators, and stakeholders • Maintain safety data, records, and compliance with federal standards

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or related field; or a degree supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in related scientific or technical disciplines. • Minimum of five years of relevant scientific or technical experience in occupational safety and health. • Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred. • Expert knowledge of OSH concepts, principles, laws, regulations, and codes. • Technical authority-level knowledge of occupational safety, building construction methods, hazardous materials, industrial processes, and safety systems. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. • Extensive knowledge of hazardous work operations across diverse facility types. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
