• Enable business and IT leaders to make investment decisions balancing current operational demands, disruptions, and opportunities with the organization’s longer-term strategic vision • Provide technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices within assigned capability domains • Evaluate existing projects, assess required business capabilities, drive the target landscape, and create functional roadmaps within the first 3–12 months • Participate in designing and building MMA’s business unit Enterprise Architecture group, including architecture review standards, key principles, and core processes • Serve as subject matter expert for one or more business capability domains • Understand complex upstream and downstream dependencies across servicing, transaction, and operational workflows • Direct, guide, and define IT architecture within assigned domains to support corporate business strategy • Review and provide feedback on proposals and initiatives, offering technical expertise for projects on a consulting and troubleshooting basis • Develop implementation proposals for new applications, capabilities, and services • Partner with project sponsors and business users to understand solution requirements and needs • Manage development of supporting application components, system interfaces and designs, and deployment of new systems and services • Ensure quality of technology deliverables by contributing to and communicating development, QA, security, and service onboarding standards and best practices • Monitor industry trends and communicate opportunities from emerging technologies and best practices • Advise and mentor technology colleagues and team members on technology skills, principles, processes, and technologies
• 5–7 years of Enterprise Architecture experience • Sound experience building enterprise technical solutions and strategies • Leadership experience managing multiple large, cross-functional teams or projects • Ability to influence senior-level management and key stakeholders • Proven experience as a domain architect or enterprise architect supporting a large insurance or brokerage organization • Direct accountability for architecting capabilities across complex, high-volume operational platforms and business processes • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and successfully sell a vision • Ability to align business objectives with IT strategy and translate insurance operating model requirements into actionable architectural roadmaps • Understanding of Insurance Broking, Risk Management, or Employee Benefits processes and solutions • Experience in large-scale application rationalization programs • TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Certification listed as a standout qualification • Experience with solution architecture frameworks, patterns, emerging technologies, and best practices
