📋 Description

• Engage with MobilizeGreen staff and partners to implement the 2027 Virtual YCP program comprising 2 cohorts • Lead virtual youth crews during program sessions • Implement tailored, interactive environmental curriculum and project-based learning • Facilitate content related to environmental issues, wildfire management, ecology, sustainability, outdoor-sector careers, outdoor recreation, public lands, resume building, interviewing skills, leadership skills, and college readiness • Coordinate meeting times within program hours to mentor youth on individual and small group projects • Communicate with Program Coordinators, Program Assistants, fellow Crew Leaders, partners, and panel participants • Organize and store program materials digitally as directed • For Head Crew Leaders: oversee and support Crew Leaders across both cohorts • For Head Crew Leaders: serve as primary point of contact for Crew Leaders, Program Coordinators, and Program Manager • For Head Crew Leaders: monitor team progress, address questions and challenges, coordinate activities and partner sessions, track documentation, and complete the cohort Final Report • Fulfill other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Entry level position appropriate for candidates who have recently completed, or are currently enrolled in relevant training and education looking to expand in green careers • Must be 21 years or older • At least 2 years out of high school • 1-2 seasons leading youth in formal or informal education, camp, or team setting • Experience in environmental education and outdoor leadership skills • Experience working virtually, including ability to use programs such as Zoom, Discord, G-Suite, and Google Classroom • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage youth in programming • Dedicated commitment to expanding youth participation and engagement in outdoor learning and recreation • Skilled in developing educational materials and communications on environmental stewardship, resource management, outdoor career pathways, and nature-based experiences • Ability to work both independently and with others collaboratively on projects • Interest & knowledge in environment/natural resource management • Self-motivated, organized, and proactive • Experience in a formal teaching environment preferred • Must be available for the entire duration of the seasonal employment period • Must be available for mandatory training and program dates • Program runs Monday through Friday, from about 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM EST
