📋 Description

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP and STAT financial statements • Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies • Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities • Prepare supporting schedules for internal and external STAT and GAAP audits and coordinate audit requests • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies • Assist with STAT regulatory reporting • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures and increase efficiency • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and financial reporting needs • Assist with special projects and other accounting duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Candidate must be located in UT, AZ, or TX • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles • Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience using ERP • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fully remote or hybrid environment • Dedicated home workspace and secure, reliable, high-speed internet connection • Experience with STAT reporting is preferred • Experience with NetSuite and Sage is a plus • CPA license preferred • Public accounting experience is a plus
