📋 Description

• Provide high-level technical support, optimization, and documentation for specialized communications systems • Troubleshoot software-driven electronics and optimize RF and Broadband architectures • Work with legacy analog, advanced digital P25, and data infrastructure technologies • Program, configure, optimize, test, and document complex communications systems • Develop and implement solutions for difficult technical challenges during system implementation, upgrades, or support activities • Perform preventative maintenance routines, trend analysis, and meticulous documentation • Submit comprehensive weekly reports detailing activities and accomplishments • Install, configure, and maintain computer networks, including cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges • Install server hardware, operating systems, and software infrastructure; troubleshoot system and application issues • Support Public Safety customers across the T5 South territory, primarily on Missouri projects • Travel over 75% to support customers in Missouri, Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, and Iowa

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in one of the following: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, Military, Motorola equipment, IT Systems, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering or Networking equipment • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required • Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position • Must possess a current, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record • Knowledge and proficiency in wired communications systems (LAN/WAN) • Expertise in computer network installation, configuration, and maintenance, including cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges • Ability to install server hardware/Operating Systems and software infrastructure, and troubleshoot system/application issues • Knowledge of standard telephony, dedicated data circuits, and packet switching techniques • High computer literacy, with proficiency in Google Suite, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access • Knowledge of RF systems, including transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks • Proficiency in using communications test equipment • Strong self-management and self-motivation skills • Excellent communication skills • Ability to quickly solve customer problems in high-stress situations • Successfully pass a stringent CJIS fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions customers
