📋 Description

• Support Motorola Field Engineering Teams across North America • Provide guidance on coverage design and implementation from proposal through system acceptance • Guide requirements for internal tools used in coverage propagation studies • Develop and apply methods, theories, and research techniques to solve technical problems • Provide internal field resources with technical support throughout project phases • Provide external consultative support to customers and consultants when required • Interface with product teams on system performance parameters • Develop and disseminate Coverage Standards and practices to the field • Guide and support Coverage site deployments and testing • Lead Coverage field training through on-site and recorded courses, webinars, and how-to guides • Monitor FCC changes affecting the public safety P25 Land Mobile Radio arena • Mentor engineers and provide depth of knowledge and experience • Drive Coverage Subject Matter Expert initiatives • Interface with Sales, Project Management, System Engineering, and Field Engineering personnel on mission-critical communication systems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree BSEE/BSCE • 10+ years of RF/Propagation Engineering in the Wireless Communications field highly preferred • 10+ years in Engineering • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences • Self motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment • Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless system design • Experience setting up modeling tools to execute and optimize coverage and interference mitigation designs • Experience/knowledge troubleshooting RF (Radio Frequency) Sites / noise mitigation challenges on deployed systems and providing guidance to local field teams • Experience/knowledge in site deployment and installation practices • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely required • Employer work permit sponsorship is not available • Under 10% travel required
