📋 Description

• Lead technical aspects of assigned projects through system acceptance • Design and implement radio networks, including infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul, WAN, and CEN networks • Conduct customer design reviews, customer-witnessed staging and acceptance testing, coverage acceptance testing, live system upgrades, and troubleshooting • Build out, configure, and acceptance-test systems in lab staging and field environments • Perform radio coverage testing, frequency analysis, and interference mitigation • Manage radio system licensing with the FCC/Industry • Prepare system fleet maps, encryption templates, and radio programming templates • Complete system documentation • Execute live system cutovers and upgrades • Work with Project Management, Systems Engineers, System Technologists, Construction Managers, Customer Service Managers, customers, consultants, and third-party service professionals • Travel 25–50% across Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline and 5+ years of engineering or technical experience OR 7 years of engineering or technical experience • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required • Radio Frequency Engineering principles • Land / Mobile Radio Engineering principles • RFDS principles, including antenna and cable selection, transmit combiners, receive multi-couplers, and lightning protection systems • P25 Land Mobile Radio terminology and two-way subscriber radio provisioning methods • Servers and related systems including VMware ESXI, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems • Construction of remote communication sites, including site selection, grounding, compound development, tower and shelter requirements • Fortinet and Juniper firewalls; Nokia 7705 series routers; Juniper SRX/MX (Junos) series routers; HP/Aruba and Juniper switches • Remote access using SSH, SCP, SFTP, and RDP • Point-to-point Microwave systems and Microwave RF & Network design • FCC licensing and frequency search • Software applications integration, API concepts, computer operating systems, and the OSI model • Networking protocols and devices including RSVP-TE, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, SIP, RTP, SNMP, NAT, routers, switches, and stateful packet firewalls • Physical-layer knowledge of fiber, copper, and microwave • IP networking, network design methodologies, and troubleshooting, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, and MPLS • Self-motivated, good written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills
