📋 Description

• Apply specialized clinical knowledge to hospital partner data • Categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and calculate registry/case information from patient medical records • Ensure accurate submission of data to specified registries or measure data repositories • Prioritize and organize multiple concurrent tasks and team requests • Meet tight deadlines and manage expectations • Flag obstacles and propose timely solutions • Navigate electronic medical records and registry/case entry tools • Troubleshoot technical issues with systems and applications using team resources • Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents • Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline tasks and processes • Stay current on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements • Perform additional assigned responsibilities • Work under the direction of the Manager or Senior Manager • Deliver quality solutions to hospital partners across the country

🎯 Requirements

• At least 1 year of direct Core Measures and Sepsis abstraction experience within the last calendar year (REQUIRED) • Direct clinical care experience (preferred) • RN or LPN credential or substantial clinical experience (preferred) • Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint) • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • High standards for accuracy and attention to detail • Technical savvy and willingness to learn new systems and technology • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records • Clear communication and ability to adjust style and tone for collaboration • Strong self-organization and time management skills • Ability to manage multiple accounts and shifting timelines and priorities • Ability to adapt to changes in timelines, requirements, and project assignments • High degree of responsibility in keeping PHI secure and confidential • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship
