• Categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and calculate registry/case information from nuanced patient medical records • Ensure quality submission of data in specified registries or measure data repositories • Maintain a high accuracy threshold • Prioritize, organize, and meet tight deadlines for multiple concurrent tasks and team requests • Manage expectations, flag obstacles, and propose timely solutions • Navigate electronic medical records (EMR), registry, and case-entry tools • Troubleshoot technical issues with systems and applications using team resources • Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents • Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline tasks and processes • Stay current on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements from federal, state, payer, and other agencies • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned • Work under the direction of the Manager or Senior Manager • Deliver quality solutions to hospital partners across the country
• At least 1 year of direct Core Measures and Sepsis abstraction experience within the last calendar year (REQUIRED) • Direct clinical care experience (preferred) • RN or LPN Credential or substantial clinical experience (preferred) • Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint) • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • High standards for accuracy and attention to detail • Technical savvy and desire to learn new systems and technology • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records • Clear communication and effective collaboration with hospital partners, peers, team leads, and others • Strong self-organization and time management skills to manage multiple accounts concurrently • Ability to adapt to changing timelines, requirements, and project assignments • Ability to keep PHI secure and confidential • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship
