📋 Description

• Apply specialized clinical knowledge to hospital partners • Categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and calculate registry/case information from patient medical records • Ensure accurate submission of data in specified registries or measure data repositories • Prioritize and organize multiple concurrent tasks and team requests while meeting tight deadlines • Manage expectations, flag obstacles, and propose timely solutions • Navigate electronic medical records and registry/case entry tools • Troubleshoot technical issues with systems and applications • Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents • Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline tasks and processes • Stay current on regulatory and publicly reported data requirements from federal, state, payer, and other agencies • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Direct Level 2 Facility Trauma Registry abstraction experience • Completed the ATS (American Trauma Society) Course • Completed AAAM Training or AIS 15 Coding Course • Completed the Annual TQIP Education • ICD-10 Training and Certification completed within the last 5 years • Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, including Microsoft Excel • Legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship • Direct clinical experience (preferred) • Anatomy course (preferred) • Active CSTR, CAISS, or CCS Certification (preferred)
