📋 Description

• Develop and lead budgets for clinical research studies, aligned with various funding sources • Review study documentation to create budgets, Letters of Intent (LOIs), and amendments, incorporating relevant expenses • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather cost data and assess study feasibility • Negotiate budgets and payment terms with industry sponsors to secure funding and improve revenue • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls while tracking budget statuses • Analyze budget data for accuracy and trends, and present findings to management • Provide education and support on budgeting practices and compliance to research staff • Lead or participate in departmental projects and initiatives • Provide interim coverage for Budget Managers as needed • Report to the Clinical Research Budget and Billing Compliance Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Clinical Research, Finance, or a related field • In lieu of a degree, four years of job-related experience is acceptable • 2–4 years in clinical research financial management, including budget development, Medicare coverage analysis, clinical trial agreements, invoicing, and fiscal management • Familiarity with clinical trial operations • Intermediate skills in budget development and negotiation • Ability to advise investigators on sponsor and institutional budget policies • Advanced oral and written communication skills • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data for reports and identify trends • Sophisticated interpersonal skills and attention to detail • Ability to prioritize tasks and lead multiple projects simultaneously • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
