📋 Description

• Assist with administrative and public relations matters for State Representative Linda Chaney • Manage calendars and scheduling • Manage constituents • Conduct legislative research • Apply knowledge of the legislative process • Prepare public relations materials and press releases • Manage stakeholder relations • Serve as designated Tallahassee staff during Committee Weeks and Session • Use the Travel System • Complete mandatory trainings as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university • Two years of administrative experience • Professional administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education • Thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and operating practices of the Florida Legislature • Knowledge and application of House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies, and the Legislature’s Joint Policies and Procedures • Required to electronically file a Form 1 – Statement of Financial Interests with the Florida Commission on Ethics within 30 days of hire • All virtual district employees must reside and work virtually in Florida
