• Perform field and office duties involving planning, execution, coordination, monitoring, and support of environmental projects, primarily focused on Munitions Response • Prepare or assist with Quality Assurance Project Plans, sampling plans, Accident Prevention Plans, Site Safety and Health Plans, and other work plans • Assist in planning, managing, and conducting project outreach • Prepare community and public outreach materials and presentations • Assist with assessments, investigations, remedial/removal actions, site restoration, and long-term management and maintenance of environmental sites • Support munitions constituents sampling and assessment activities • Coordinate samples and documentation with laboratories • Review and organize environmental data • Support and maintain project databases • Prepare or assist with technical reports, tables, and figures • Coordinate project data with GIS personnel • Travel to project sites as required
• Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, biology, engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university required • Minimum of three years’ experience in environmental consulting • MR/unexploded ordnance (UXO) project experience preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to professionally interact with managers, coworkers, field operations staff, technical staff, and subcontractors • Ability to support development of project work plans and health and safety plans • Self-motivated and able to function as part of a team • Critical thinking ability • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, verified by a Motor Vehicle Record check • Must be a U.S. citizen • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access, and Adobe • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification with current 8-Hour Annual Refresher preferred • OSHA 30-hour General Industry or Construction Industry safety training preferred • Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification preferred • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted • Ability to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in construction trades • Ability to safely handle hazardous materials and tolerate exposure to various hazards • Ability to work outdoors in harsh conditions and extreme temperatures
