• Review, interpret, and abstract clinical patient data from EHR systems, paper charts, and other source documents • Apply medical coding systems including ICD-10, MedDRA, CPT, and HCPCS to classify clinical data into standardized machine-readable data • Use REDCap, registries, and custom EDC systems to enter, track, and maintain clinical data integrity • Help cross-functional teams translate clinical and data abstraction and encoding requirements • Support prompt engineering and design for AI and LLM initiatives • Apply clinical data management and good clinical practice standards during abstraction and encoding • Support end-to-end ETL workflows • Perform quality assurance using macros, Excel/Google Sheets functions, formulas, and pivot tables • Conduct peer reviews of medical record data to ensure quality and productivity expectations • Follow project protocols, IRB requirements, HIPAA regulations, data management best practices, and organizational privacy policies • Participate in developing and refining abstraction guidelines, tools, and standard operating procedures • Submit daily, weekly, or monthly abstraction reports and productivity reporting • Participate in team meetings and workshops • Perform other assigned duties
• U.S. licensed Nurse, PA-C, NP, or DNP required • Master’s degree in health sciences required • Strong understanding of medical terminology, disease processes, especially cancer, standard clinical workflows, and genetic testing • Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in clinical data abstraction and medical records review • Experience preferably in cancer, women’s health, or rare diseases • Ability to read, interpret, and abstract complex clinical information from electronic and paper medical records • Direct experience with clinical data encoding using ICD-10-CM and SNOMED CT • Direct experience with data mapping, standardization, and harmonization • Commitment to data integrity, quality control, HIPAA, and other data privacy regulations • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite • Ability to create pivot tables, generate reports, and perform data analysis • Experience using clinical data systems or databases, such as fillable forms, ECDs, and data registries • CCDM, CCRP, ACR-P, or CRA preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams • Ability to work independently, manage time, prioritize and organize tasks, and meet strict productivity and quality deadlines • High initiative and self-motivation • Ability to work as part of a team on high-visibility projects with frequent communication • In-depth attention to detail and ability to learn quickly • Ability to respond to shifting priorities and changes • Maintenance of all relevant clinical or technical licensures
