📋 Description

• Provide specialized finance-related services to the Corporate Insurance team • Deliver financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial management activities • Administer and maintain finance/accounting activities according to TNC policies, procedures, and best practices • Monitor corporate insurance program financial performance and identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities • Communicate findings and recommendations to the department director and business unit leadership • Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and quality of financial data, reporting, systems, and business processes • Provide guidance and training to staff on finance processes, systems, reporting tools, and standard operating procedures • Support financial planning, organizational priorities, and stewardship of resources • Contribute to finance initiatives, process improvements, system implementations, and cross-functional projects • Ensure programmatic commitments, TNC policies and procedures, financial standards, and legal requirements are met • Report to the Director of Corporate Insurance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 3 years' related experience or equivalent combination • Experience with accounting/financial issues and analysis • Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems • Technical experience with spreadsheet programs, general ledger reports and financial management tools • Experience with corporate risk management and/or insurance procurement • Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret data • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel • Strong organizational skills • Accuracy, attention to detail and ability to multi-task • Non-profit accounting experience • Experience with Workday • Successful applicant must meet The Nature Conservancy's background screening requirements
