📋 Description

• Lead implementation of TNC’s pilot program for forest landowners in western Maryland • Build relationships with private forest landowners • Increase participation in the conservation program • Help TNC understand what motivates landowners to engage with conservation organizations • Conduct outreach through phone calls, in-person visits, community events, referrals, and partner networks • Enroll landowners in the program • Coordinate delivery of program benefits • Gather insights on landowner motivations, participation barriers, and opportunities to improve program design and delivery • Test outreach tactics and identify effective engagement opportunities • Guide participants through the enrollment process • Support future investment and pilot expansion decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years experience in natural resource management or similar field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Relationship-building experience working closely with a variety of partners, including media, government officials, and internal scientists • Experience completing tasks independently concerning timelines • Experience communicating via written, spoken, and graphical means in English and other relevant languages • Experience using common software applications such as Word, Excel, and web browsers • Experience in training • Must have a valid driver's license • Compliance with TNC’s Auto Safety Program • Completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement, which may include a review of the prospective employee's motor vehicle record • Successful completion of The Nature Conservancy's background screening process
