📋 Description

• Help teams navigate complex policy environments by turning policy into decisions, tradeoffs, and actionable direction • Support an integrated eligibility platform spanning application intake, notices, eligibility decisions, and case management • Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to translate policy into system behavior, workflows, and user experiences • Identify regulatory constraints, risks, ambiguities, edge cases, eligibility requirements, and business rules • Propose solutions balancing compliance, user experience, and delivery needs • Create policy briefs, decision frameworks, process flows, and other decision-support artifacts • Support testing and validation of policy implementation, including scenario and edge-case testing • Conduct landscape and cross-jurisdictional research on evolving policies • Translate policy developments into implications for implementation, technology, and engagement opportunities • Synthesize research into clear written and verbal communications for internal and external audiences • Build relationships with external partners to exchange implementation lessons and develop joint work • Contribute to advocacy strategy development and execution

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in policy analysis, or a combination of relevant graduate-level education and experience • Hands-on experience independently researching and interpreting policy using statutes, regulations, or authoritative agency guidance • Experience applying policy analysis to program or implementation decisions • Ability to build and nurture relationships with internal teams and external partners • Self-directed and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical and policy contexts • Understanding of public programs, ideally at multiple levels of government • Ability to document research processes, findings, and recommendations clearly, concisely, and in an organized manner • Legal authorization to work in the United States • Ability to meet other requirements for applicable government contracts • Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future • May be subject to a government background check or security clearance • Required to work from the contiguous United States • Residence in one of the listed states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin
