• Perform detailed electrical protection and control design, including one-line and three-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, instrumentation and controls diagrams, wiring, SCADA, communications, grounding, equipment selection, specifications, cost estimates, and scheduling • Prepare computer-based models and perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, relay coordination, arc flash, power factor, and harmonic analysis • Create hand checks to quantify computer-aided study results • Develop protective relay, RTU, DFR, and network settings • Prepare project documents and reports, proposals, and studies • Provide field assistance and troubleshooting • Check designers', drafters', and field service personnel's work for quality and accuracy • Apply relevant codes and standards • Assist with client contacts, communications, and meetings • Perform other assigned duties
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution • 1–5 years of relevant engineering or field experience • Knowledge and familiarity with electrical design • Understanding of relevant codes and standards • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis • Effective written and oral communication skills • Good interpersonal and people skills • Ability to lift 25 lbs. • FE or PE is a plus, but not required • Experience with IEEE 2030.7 is preferred but not required • Experience with NERC PRC interconnection standards is preferred but not required • Typical travel: 5–10%
