📋 Description

• Work across the full spectrum from product-facing features that impact acquisition and retention to platform infrastructure. • Partner with product managers, designers, and data scientists to build commerce experiences that drive growth. • Tackle distributed systems challenges: race conditions, consistency guarantees, and throughput optimization. • Evolve infrastructure with the expanding commerce surface (Ads, Games, Live Streaming). • Partake in the on-call rotation for Tier 0 services, owning production reliability end-to-end.

🎯 Requirements

• 9+ years of experience building resilient, high-scale, low-latency distributed systems in production. • Experience with race conditions, eventual consistency, distributed transactions. • Ability to translate vague business directives into scalable and maintainable solutions. • Experience in cross-functional environments, with clear communication of complex technical trade-offs to non-engineering partners. • End-to-end ownership of projects from design through production operations. • Nice to haves: Working experience with {Java || Kotlin || C# || Scala}, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Hive or AWS, Presto and/or Spark SQL, Apache Flink, gRPC, GraphQL or RESTful API design and implementation, SQL & NoSQL multi-region data stores such as Cassandra, Amazon Aurora, Memcached. • Comfortable with production on-call responsibilities and incident response for Tier 0 services. • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field.
