📋 Description

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients • Facilitate general appointment and escalation appointment scheduling • Register new patients and review existing patient demographics • Verify and update insurance information • Answer general patient questions • Prepare patient messages for providers, triage, surgical scheduling and other internal departments • Handle inbound calls for a high-volume practice while working remotely • Accurately document patient requests and concerns in EPIC EMR • Resolve patient inquiries and concerns and appropriately escalate emergent concerns • Perform other duties as assigned • Use standard office equipment including computers, phones and faxing through RingCentral

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma • One year of experience working in a medical practice or in a health insurance organization • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Prior use of EMR systems preferred • Strong self-management skills in a remote work environment • Professional and positive interaction with patients, colleagues, managers and executive team • Strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions • Thorough knowledge of computer information systems • Ability to meet the stated physical demands, with reasonable accommodations where applicable
