📋 Description

• Develop engineering solutions and explain technologies to customers • Gather requirements and propose hardware, software, engineering, and Business Continuity solutions • Recommend solution viability, implementation strategies, and optimal implementation approaches • Develop technical designs and system configurations • Design scalable DC, LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewall, network-device, compute, cloud, storage, and BCDR solutions • Assess and design on-premises to Azure/AWS migration solutions, including optimization, workflows, processes, and level of effort • Prepare statements of work, level-of-effort estimates, and bills of materials • Recommend system-design enhancements and changes • Identify, research, evaluate, and implement emerging network technologies • Oversee configuration, installation, and maintenance • Document requirements and design decisions and ensure continuity with delivery teams • Train deployment and field engineers for on-site deployment and troubleshooting • Review networking, security, hypervisor, Azure, and backup environments and recommend modern or updated solutions • Provide migration plans, upgrade requirements, ROI analyses, and three-year/five-year TCO comparisons • Design backup and BCDR solutions meeting customer RTO/RPO, scalability, and reliability requirements

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in cloud networking, network security, VMware/Hyper-V hypervisors, Azure WAF, BCDR, SAN/storage, and strategic technology programs • Bachelor's degree in related technical/business areas, or equivalent proven work history and experience • 8+ years’ experience with enterprise-level design and deployment of hypervisors and associated networking, SAN, NAS, and BCDR components • 5+ years’ experience with Azure IaaS, including migrations and optimizations • 5+ years’ experience with cloud networking services • Experience preparing SOWs and BOMs • Experience designing datacenter hypervisors and BCDR solutions • Proficiency designing, installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and monitoring core virtual compute services • Proficiency with Azure Well-Architected Framework • Familiarity with or hands-on experience in SD-WAN and cloud networking solutions • Experience with datacenter compute infrastructure design/integration • Proficiency designing, installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and monitoring routing and switching and LAN/WAN/MAN services • Proficiency with OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MP-BGP, and IS-IS • Experience with Cisco APIC and Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k configuration and design • Experience with Cisco Catalyst 9k/4k/3k/2k switch platforms • Experience with Cisco ISE/Catalyst Center • Experience integrating network security, cloud, and wireless platforms • Experience utilizing scripting tools • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customer contacts • Ability to work under pressure and interface with senior management • English language skills • Current Cisco data networking certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE strongly preferred • Broadcom VMware sales and technical certification preferred • Microsoft AZ-800/801 or AZ-802 preferred • Datto Kaseya Certified Expert preferred • Veeam VMCE+ preferred • Ability to perform regular computer keyboard, mouse, and office-equipment work and prolonged screen-based work • Occasional travel required, less than 10%
