📋 Description

• Lead day-to-day PR and media relations for Niche • Pitch economist research and translate rankings and platform data into compelling media stories • Secure speaking and awards opportunities • Execute the broader communications strategy with Data, Social Media, Marketing, and Content teams • Drive earned media across trade, consumer, and business press, newsletters, Substacks, podcasts, and other platforms • Manage inbound media requests and protect Niche’s reputation and brand messaging • Own go-to-market strategy and execution for three annual rankings releases • Write and edit press releases, media pitches, talking points, FAQs, and other external materials • Prepare executives for interviews and speaking opportunities • Integrate communications wins into broader campaigns and amplify them across channels • Translate economist and proprietary data into defensible earned- and owned-media story angles • Track and report performance using media monitoring and AI tools • Build Projects, Skills, and automations to streamline workflows and productivity • Manage awards submissions and speaking-opportunity pipelines • Identify relevant conferences and own submission processes

🎯 Requirements

• 4–6 years of PR/communications experience, ideally in-house at a fast-moving tech company • Proven media relations experience and relationship-building ability • Track record of data storytelling and translating research into earned media and thought leadership • Strong writing and editing skills across formats • Familiarity with earned, owned, and shared media and cross-channel storytelling • Experience using AI tools such as Claude for research, messaging, and reporting • Awareness of how PR and earned media influence LLM-powered search and brand discoverability • Highly organized, accountable, and able to manage up • Experience across B2B and B2C preferred; marketplace/platform experience is a bonus • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future • Must reside in one of the listed hiring states
