📋 Description

• Pre-underwrite loan files by reviewing borrower documentation, including credit reports, income documents, and assets, for accuracy and completeness • Assist with income calculations and verify supporting documents • Support senior underwriters in identifying potential risks and issues in loan applications • Ensure loan applications comply with company policies, investor requirements, and regulatory guidelines • Communicate with internal stakeholders and lenders to resolve issues and ensure timely loan processing • Maintain current knowledge of mortgage products and underwriting guidelines for Conventional, FHA, VA, and other loan types • Complete the required video interview task before receiving an in-person interview

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of Junior or Underwriting Experience required for an interview • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or a related field • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently • Experience using Encompass loan origination software is a huge benefit • Prior experience with mortgage processing or underwriting is preferred but not required • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities • Critical thinking and decision-making skills • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Familiarity with Conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage types is a plus
