• Build and strengthen relationships with bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy programs within the NMDP network • Increase engagement with referring oncologists and encourage timely, appropriate patient referrals • Serve as primary relationship manager for regional BMT programs and community oncologists • Establish strategic partnership objectives and priorities with BMT team members • Assess and respond to needs across BMT programs, including physicians, administrators, coordinators, social workers, and financial coordinators • Serve as point person for NMDP and transplant-process questions and connect patients with NMDP resources • Collaborate with NMDP colleagues to coordinate service and achieve transplant-center and organizational goals • Attend BMT program meetings and develop understanding of transplant-center needs and challenges • Provide real-time consultation through onsite, phone, or online presence, with follow-up and after-action review • Share network metrics and center-specific data and provide evidence-based recommendations • Identify regional unmet needs and provide supporting data and analysis • Develop and deliver education on research studies, NMDP services and initiatives, allogeneic transplant, and cellular therapy • Participate in onboarding new transplant-center team members • Design, implement, and manage special projects and research opportunities with NMDP and CIBMTR colleagues • Recommend process improvements to reduce complexities in the transplant process • Represent provider needs and share insights with NMDP colleagues and leadership • Perform other duties as assigned
• Demonstrated knowledge of molecular biology, immunology, or genetics • Strong knowledge and experience in a provider setting preferred • Bachelor’s degree and eight years of experience in a relevant science or healthcare-related setting • Four years of full-time internal NMDP employment may substitute for the required eight years of experience • Ability to build new relationships and strengthen existing relationships • Critical thinking and analytical skills to drive innovative solutions • Ability to improve processes, take initiative, and solve problems • Ability to establish credibility and foster collaboration with internal and external colleagues • Strong professional communication and customer service skills • Ability to adjust schedule for meetings and urgent customer needs • Occasional domestic travel for conferences and in-person team meetings • Valid driver’s license • Previous experience within BMT and cellular therapy industry preferred • Previous clinical-setting experience with a customer service focus preferred • Master’s/PhD degree and six years of experience in a relevant science or healthcare-related setting preferred
