• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Patient Access Case Managers through one-on-one meetings, performance coaching, and professional development • Oversee daily Patient Access operations to achieve KPIs, service levels, and operational objectives • Serve as the primary operational contact for Patient Access, offshore support teams, reimbursement vendors, and internal stakeholders • Coordinate with Field Sales, Appeals, Patient Concierge, Therapy Support, and cross-functional teams to provide case updates and resolve reimbursement challenges • Ensure adherence to reimbursement workflows, quality standards, and SOPs • Develop and refine departmental KPIs, reporting, and performance metrics • Review workflows and SOPs to improve efficiency, consistency, and patient experience • Provide guidance on benefit investigations, prior authorizations, claims processing, appeals, financial assistance programs, and insurance coverage • Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain clinical documentation for reimbursement submissions • Coordinate with commercial and government payers on authorization and reimbursement decisions • Maintain knowledge of reimbursement policies, payer requirements, and coverage guidelines • Monitor case quality, documentation accuracy, and compliance in Salesforce and reimbursement management systems • Lead process improvement initiatives, including Salesforce enhancements and workflow optimization • Partner with the Associate Director, Appeals team, and leadership on strategic reimbursement and operational initiatives • Develop training materials, onboarding resources, and coaching programs • Foster a collaborative, patient-focused culture centered on accountability, continuous learning, and customer service
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare industry experience within pharmaceutical, medical device, or reimbursement-focused organizations • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting medical device reimbursement involving DME products • Previous experience leading or supervising patient access, reimbursement, or case management teams • Strong knowledge of benefit investigations, prior authorizations, insurance reimbursement, appeals, and patient access workflows • Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and government payers • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM and reimbursement management platforms preferred • Preferred: experience leading medical-device patient access or reimbursement teams • Preferred: KPI-driven performance management, process improvement, workflow optimization, Salesforce enhancements, offshore support, reimbursement vendors, and DME reimbursement knowledge
