📋 Description

• Support implementation of the Databricks access control model • Manage data structures, permissions, and tagging within Unity Catalog • Maintain security controls for sensitive data, including filtered and masked access • Manage access controls as code using Terraform and related tools • Partner with administrators and platform teams to align access controls across the environment • Support audits, reporting, and documentation related to data access • Provide day-to-day guidance to engineers on tagging and access requests

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, data engineering, or a related technical field, with 5+ years of related experience • Alternatively, 3 years of related experience with a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline • Familiarity with RBAC and ABAC access control concepts • Experience with Databricks and Unity Catalog • Familiarity with Databricks system tables, audit logs, and access reporting • Working knowledge of SQL and Python • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and Terraform • Familiarity with AWS cloud IAM concepts, including groups, roles, policies, and service principals • Experience supporting data classification, data governance, or data tagging • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within established governance and approval processes • Preferred: experience supporting technical or operational aspects of SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR compliance requirements
