📋 Description

• Design and build security primitives for existing and innovative new streaming protocols for large-scale content delivery • Partner with business and product stakeholders to translate goals into security requirements, technical designs, and implementations • Develop and own consolidated application security primitives across delivery paths • Optimize cryptographic and transport security layers on Open Connect appliances for performance and resource efficiency • Develop host-side DoS resilience primitives and mitigations, including kernel integration to throttle abusive traffic • Partner with adjacent teams on end-to-end infrastructure protection • Conduct vulnerability research and mitigation for application- and protocol-level vulnerabilities across the Open Connect platform • Serve as security owner for Open Connect protocols and cryptographic foundations • Liaise with partner organizations and engage with cryptography and security communities • Learn and adapt to evolving architectures and features • Define and self-manage cross-functional projects from ambiguous questions through production • Advocate thoughtful collaboration and take ownership of projects from conception to production

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record architecting and implementing security features that meaningfully improve system security • Deep, hands-on expertise in applied cryptography and security protocols and techniques, including TLS, DTLS, QUIC, signatures, key management, and AEAD • Experience designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end security controls from architecture through production • Success partnering cross-functionally to improve security posture • Ability to define and self-manage cross-functional projects driven by ambiguous questions • Ability to translate business and product goals into security requirements, technical design, and implementation • Self-starter attitude, curiosity, and willingness to ask questions • Quick learner excited about new technologies • Experience designing DoS/resource-exhaustion mitigations for high-scale services • Contributions to OpenSSL or similar cryptographic libraries, or to security protocol standards • Active participation in IETF, CFRG, or Real World Crypto • Experience securing live streaming or media delivery protocols • Experience with highly distributed systems and fuzzing complex systems • Experience securing FreeBSD and Linux • Experience with C, Golang, and Python
