• Monitor security dashboards, queues, and alerts from automated tools and escalated tickets to detect potential threats • Conduct initial investigations into security alerts and perform rapid response actions such as securing user accounts • Collect necessary log data for analysis • Analyze findings to determine incident scope and severity • Resolve straightforward issues and escalate complex cases to Level 2 Analysts with clear, concise information • Review and implement authorized routine changes to security tools, including processing client exemption requests in the EDR and temporarily adjusting settings for testing • Collaborate with security analysts and security engineers by sharing information, participating in team discussions, and contributing to a collaborative security environment • Communicate with end-users or clients to gather details about potential security issues, explain security procedures, and provide incident-resolution guidance • Coordinate security responses and share information with Reactive Support, Client Strategy, NOC, and other departments • Maintain accurate, detailed records of investigations, actions, communications, and resolutions within ConnectWise • Provide timely, helpful support for security inquiries with a professional, customer-service-oriented approach • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule • Work Friday–Monday, 12am–11am CST after a required day-shift training period Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm CST
• 1-2 years of experience in Cybersecurity • 3-5 years in an IT role including log analysis, account/access management, or endpoint troubleshooting • CySA+, GCIH, or SC-200 (or actively pursuing) • Hands-on exposure to at least one EDR/SIEM platform (e.g., SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel) • Direct hands-on experience using ConnectWise Manage for ticket documentation, with a demonstrated track record of clear, timestamped, audit-ready incident notes • Practical familiarity with at least one of: SIEM log correlation, Windows Event Viewer (Security log IDs like 4624/4625/4648), or a ticketing-based alert queue • Ability to communicate professionally, in English, both written and orally • Ability to write business correspondence and process procedures • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public • Full alertness and reliable attendance during scheduled hours • Additional outside employment, regardless of hours, is not permitted • Willingness and ability to travel if the need arises • Extended periods of sitting or standing and regular use of computers and office equipment • U.S. citizenship required due to federal government contract obligations and access to secured information systems • Dedicated safe workspace free from distractions and hazards, secure from unauthorized access, and compliant with Ntiva IT User and Security Policies • Must refrain from using public Wi-Fi and have arrangements to avoid significant caregiving interruptions during work hours
