📋 Description

• Own investigations end-to-end from initial alert through root cause analysis, attack chain reconstruction, and client-ready written narrative • Correlate SIEM, EDR, and identity telemetry to identify missed alerts • Self-assign difficult, ambiguous, or high-priority work • Support alert triage, classification, disposition, and escalation within SLA requirements • Identify and communicate security gaps and mitigations in client environments • Communicate with the Security Operations Manager on active threats and escalations • Facilitate client-facing incident briefings, escalation reviews, and threat landscape discussions • Produce complete ticket documentation with evidence trails, reasoning, disposition rationale, and client summaries • Remain current on emerging threats, CVEs, and attacker techniques • Support onboarding of new clients onto NuHarbor Security Services and Platforms • Train, mentor, and support junior analysts • Review junior analyst escalations before client delivery • Develop and refine automation playbooks • Contribute tuning feedback, noise identification, and alert fidelity assessments to Detection Engineering • Develop recommendations and enhancements to mature clients’ cybersecurity programs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years of experience in a cybersecurity field, including relevant industry certifications • In lieu of a degree, two (2) years of experience in a related technology field and relevant industry certifications are required • Experience with SOC operations, security event triaging, and tuning • Experience writing runbooks and support procedures • Experience executing Monitoring and Response across containment, eradication, and recovery in a SOC or MSSP environment • Experience with security event triaging and threat hunting through SIEM and EDR toolsets • Hands-on experience with at least two of: CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk Enterprise Security • Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, or equivalent for automation solutions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Previous experience in a technical support or security-focused role • Must be authorized to work within the United States • Must be located in Hawaii
