📋 Description

• Build and lead the Infrastructure Security Engineering team for EDA clusters • Grow and direct a team of engineers and develop leaders within it • Own the technical roadmap for EDA-specific security controls • Partner with security teams and infrastructure engineering to architect and ship controls into production • Use network and platform infrastructure as the security control plane • Determine where conventional endpoint and workload security tooling fits and design alternatives where needed • Protect multi-day compute jobs without degrading performance • Drive consistent enforcement of security frameworks across on-premises data centers and multi-cloud platforms • Manage the full lifecycle of core infrastructure security technologies, from selection and deployment through operation and replacement • Build KPIs, instrumentation, and audit workflows to continuously expose security posture • Plan mitigations across network, storage, and compute • Embed automation and secure defaults into the infrastructure lifecycle

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ overall years building and operating production infrastructure at scale, including network, compute clusters, and storage • 5+ years leading and managing engineering teams • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience • Deep networking expertise applied to large compute environments • Hands-on experience operating compute fleets at scale, including provisioning, lifecycle, and long-running, high-value jobs • Deep understanding of hyperscaler methodologies for operating large-scale systems with security and reliability as co-equal goals • Experience securing performance-sensitive or high-throughput environments where standard agent-based tooling was constrained • Extensive history building and guiding engineering teams responsible for complex distributed or multi-cloud architectures • Ability to drive unified outcomes across organizational boundaries with non-reporting partners • Exceptional communication skills credible with individual engineers and executive leadership • Experience with kernel- and fabric-level observability and enforcement, including eBPF, in-line and out-of-band inspection, and DPU/SmartNIC offload • Track record leading security or platform engineering inside EDA, HPC, or large research-cluster environments • Breadth across IAM, EDR/XDR, CNAPP, CSPM, vulnerability lifecycle, and zero-trust architectures, or demonstrated ability to learn new domains quickly • Experience driving infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code • Familiarity translating SOC2 / ISO27001 into real technical controls
