📋 Description

• Process claims, manage accounts receivable, and maintain documentation in compliance with payer guidelines and OCHIN systems • Investigate and resolve claim denials and identify trends • Contribute to process improvements that enhance reimbursement outcomes • Provide billing and customer service support to OBS member clinics and patients • Manage self-pay accounts and customer inquiries • Handle daily claims production, including printing, mailing, and preparing clean-claim documentation • Communicate with team members and stakeholders to clarify billing requirements • Use OCHIN tools and processes to track deadlines and prioritize billing activities • Apply knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and OCHIN solutions to billing operations • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in billing and/or coding revenue cycle experience preferred • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, MVA, Workers Comp, and private insurance billing and reimbursement processes preferred • Knowledge of legal requirements preferred • California billing experience highly preferred • FQHC experience and knowledge preferred • Medical Billing Certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred • For Acute Care hospital work, rural hospital experience is required • Completion of a 50–60-minute competency assessment before the team interview • Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office environment • High-speed internet service • Ability to work in a distraction-free workplace • Ability to travel nationally up to 20% for on-site Go Live support, based on business requirements • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English • Ability to be on camera for all virtual meetings • Ability to use standard office equipment, computers, and mobile devices • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required as a condition of employment
