📋 Description

• Cultivate a caring, supportive, and inclusive school community • Serve as a cultural, behavioral, and academic leader alongside the Principal • Coach staff and provide professional development on classroom management and instructional best practices • Collaborate with staff and families to improve student behavior, attendance, engagement, academic success, and well-being • Engage families, community organizations, businesses, and postsecondary institutions to support student transitions • Implement behavior management practices using strong teacher relationships and positive reinforcement • Communicate the school’s mission and vision to the local community and solicit stakeholder input • Formulate and administer a comprehensive Career and Technical Education program • Lead instructional programs, assess curriculum and pedagogy, review lesson plans, and observe classes • Coordinate professional development, staff in-service days, parent-teacher conferences, extended learning, and summer educational opportunities • Collaborate with instructional leaders to ensure MTSS/RTI processes are followed • Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, hiring, retaining, recognizing, and supporting school staff • Ensure nondiscrimination practices and compliance with EEO requirements • Collaborate on state, charter authorizer, federal, sponsor, and charter renewal reporting requirements • Address compliance items related to the school’s Sponsor Agreement • Assist with parent and student manuals, policies, and handbooks • Stay current on state policies, procedures, and legislation • Handle student problems escalated by parents and teachers • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Current valid Principal and Teacher license in the state of Ohio • Ohio residency preferred • Bachelor’s degree in education or related discipline • Successful completion of federal and state criminal background checks • Knowledge of state academic content standards • Minimum seven years of experience in education or related field • Two or more years of experience in successful school administration/instructional leadership • Advanced degree in education/educational leadership strongly preferred • Demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining a rigorous academic program that meets the needs of all students • Experience in public education accountability, compliance, and related legal requirements • Demonstrated ability to create inclusive environments supporting diverse backgrounds and perspectives • Understanding of and ability to manage confidential information • Knowledge of or experience with innovative school designs and instructional models, including blended, inquiry, problem/project-based, and personalized learning • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills • Ability to travel 15% • Ability to support state-required testing, including in-person testing
