📋 Description

• Lead and manage the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting functions. • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness. • Lead the design and continuous improvement of financial workflows, focusing on reducing month-end close timelines and automating manual data entry. • Coordinate and oversee external audits and tax filings with auditors and tax advisors. • Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk. • Train, motivate, and align the accounting team with organizational goals and compliance standards. • Stay current with accounting regulations and best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • CPA license required. • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role. • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards. • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems. • Proven experience in a small to mid-size organization. • Experience with commission automation software. • Working knowledge of NetSuite required. • Salesforce or comparable CRM for sales data reconciliation. • Preferred: Experience with Bill.com, Captivate, Stripe, and Maxio. • Preferred: Exposure to private equity or investor-backed environments. • Preferred: M&A integration or system implementation experience. • Preferred: Advanced skills in financial modeling and data analysis tools. • Preferred: Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing change in dynamic environments. • E-Verify is used to onboard new hires.
