đź“‹ Description

• Lead a team of technical Generation Engineering electrical experts • Provide leadership and management of direct reports and establish goals related to safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance • Provide technical guidance and oversight for engineering issues related to maintenance and optimization of generation facilities • Lead engineering, procurement, and construction activities on power plant improvement projects • Lead technical analyses and evaluate emergent technology supporting technical, operational, and financial objectives • Devise and implement group improvement projects to increase efficiency and quality of work products • Lead engineering analysis and provide recommendations, standards, and guidelines for power plant operation, maintenance, safety, reliability, procurement, construction, and testing • Lead, develop, and oversee project designs, specifications, and engineered solutions for power plant equipment and systems • Provide input to plant managers for annual budgets and spending requirements • Provide operating and maintenance standards to improve reliability and efficiency • Coordinate project design with plant representatives, contractors, and equipment suppliers • Inspect and evaluate generating equipment and process conditions and project operating and maintenance requirements • Ensure generation projects meet design criteria, schedule, and budget • Provide outage and routine maintenance support, including planning, budget and business case development, parts/service, and procurement recommendations • Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional organizations on corporate initiatives • Lead Root Cause Analysis for incidents at generation facilities • Coordinate with management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations • Develop presentations for senior management and recommend and implement best practices • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, codes, and regulations • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering • Must hold a PE license; in lieu of PE license, minimum of twelve (12) applicable years of experience as a practicing engineer • Ten (10) years of related experience in power generation, transmission and/or distribution • Previous supervisory experience is preferred • Ability to lead, coach, and guide employees and manage employee relations • Strong analytical and critical thinking capability • Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team • Extensive knowledge of major power plant components, controls, and protection systems, root cause analysis, and risk analysis • Leadership experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of technical issues • Valid U.S. driver's license with acceptable MVR history • Ability to travel up to 25% • Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting, and occasionally working at heights • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
