📋 Description

• Own and evolve ASO strategy and roadmap across onX’s Hunt, Offroad, Backcountry, and Angling verticals • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities and risks based on business needs, performance, competitive insights, and platform changes • Navigate competing priorities and recommend trade-offs • Anticipate Apple, Google, and broader app discovery changes, including AI-driven discoverability • Lead optimization across keywords, metadata, creative, and app store experiences • Own the ASO experimentation lifecycle from hypotheses and testing through measurement, analysis, and implementation • Use keyword, competitor, and performance insights to refine optimization approaches • Evaluate and apply App Store and Google Play capabilities • Monitor ASO performance, rankings, conversion, keyword indexation, and other signals • Translate performance, customer reviews, ratings, competitive trends, and experiment results into recommendations • Develop ASO targets and measurement approaches and track progress • Bring ASO insights into business reviews • Monitor and evolve the company’s AEO and AI-driven app discovery approach • Align Vertical Marketing, Product, Creative, and Paid UA partners on priorities and trade-offs • Serve as primary ASO contact with Apple, Google Play, and external ASO partners • Communicate ASO recommendations and creative briefs clearly • Report to the Senior Director of Growth Marketing

🎯 Requirements

• Seven (7) or more years of experience in App Store Optimization (ASO) and mobile growth marketing • Experience driving ASO across multiple products, brands, or business lines • Experience partnering with Product and senior stakeholders • Proven track record of improving organic app discovery, conversion, and performance through ASO • Strong analytical skills • Deep experience with keyword and metadata optimization, app store creative, and experimentation across the App Store and Google Play • Ability to independently prioritize complex work, navigate ambiguity, and adapt plans • Strong communication and influence skills • Ability to assess AI and emerging technologies’ impact on app discovery • Ability to use AI tools and agentic workflows to automate repeatable ASO tasks • Shared passion for and ability to demonstrate onX’s Company Values • Permanent US work authorization is a condition of employment • Ability to travel biannually for multiple days to a corporate office or other onX strategic location • Added bonuses: experience in a B2C consumer subscription business; outdoor recreation, mapping, or navigation industry; scaling ASO across portfolios; AEO, AI-driven discovery, or emerging app discoverability approaches
