📋 Description

• Own the day-to-day accounts payable process, including invoice review and approval support, weekly check runs, and vendor statement reconciliations • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for accruals, accounts payable, bank accounts, and the balance sheet during month-end close • Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate monthly depreciation • Collect, code, and enter monthly credit card receipts into NetSuite • Assist with expense report tracking and coding • Assist with monthly state sales tax filings and financial audit requests • Support the Senior Accountant and Controller on special projects • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for projects and tracking • Report to the Controller and work alongside the Senior Accountant

🎯 Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of accounting and/or accounts payable experience • Knowledge of basic accounting principles including AR, AP, accruals, and general ledger • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills • 4-year bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred • Intermediate experience with NetSuite preferred • Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) • Knowledge of SharePoint preferred • High level of integrity, trust, and ability to maintain confidentiality • Effective problem-solving abilities • Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, handle frequent interruptions, and maintain productivity • Accuracy and careful attention to detail • Focus on results and ability to see issues through to closure
