• Serve as a trusted partner to Optiv’s clients • Design pragmatic, defensible, and scalable security solutions tailored to client environments • Drive generation-services and technologies business to meet or exceed quarterly and annual quota objectives • Maintain knowledge of client security environments, business operations, security needs, and risk appetite • Identify security concerns and align them with Optiv’s strategic solutions • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities and partner with internal colleagues through proposal and closure • Articulate how Optiv’s technology and services portfolio meets leadership-level client needs • Track industry trends and facilitate cybersecurity thought leadership • Collaborate with service delivery and internal teams to ensure solution and delivery alignment • Develop security strategies and roadmaps aligned with business goals, budgets, and ROI metrics • Maintain advisory relationships with client stakeholders and working relationships with technology partners • Design complete security programs, gather requirements, select technologies, coordinate demonstrations, and conduct security technology evaluations • Participate in account planning, forecasting, pipeline management, proposal management, contracts, and RFI/RFP responses • Pursue personal development through education, certification, and other avenues • Perform additional duties as directed or needed
• BS/BA or equivalent and/or applicable work experience • Minimum of five (5) years in an information security role, preferably as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer • Expertise in at least one domain: Data Protection & AI; Cloud Security/DevSecOps; Endpoint Security; Identity; Network Security; Offensive Security; Operations (SOC, SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, Threat); Strategy & Risk Management • Ability to work in a highly adaptable and nimble team environment with responsive communication • Thorough understanding of the current threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defensive controls • Strong business and technical acumen and ability to lead technology-focused discussions • Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills, including whiteboard sessions and other presentation mechanisms • Strong attention to detail for reviewing SOWs, quotes, and client deliverables • Broad security-related knowledge and continuous expansion of expertise across portfolio domains • Vendor-specific certification(s) focused primarily on specialty • Proficient sales techniques • Ability to work independently without day-to-day management
