📋 Description

• Provide automation, instrumentation, and controls engineering capabilities to PS-Vestolit manufacturing facilities • Generate qualification protocols and maintain the validated state of systems and processes • Support automation, instrumentation, and control systems for process, utility, and production systems • Support automation-impacting projects with large and/or complex scope • Drive strategic initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes across PS-Vestolit sites • Improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve reliability through best-practice identification and deployment of new technologies • Establish PS-Vestolit’s organizational competency related to technology enablement • Work with the Global Operations VP, PS-Vestolit Plant Managers, and Control Systems Engineers to create a technology strategy aligned with business objectives • Identify initiatives implementing innovative technology and digital tools for data-driven decision-making • Build and support digital dashboards using real-time plant/manufacturing data, including an Alarm Management System • Support the PS-Vestolit automation strategy, aligning global standards with local manufacturing needs • Establish the baseline for data quality • Partner with IT/OT and Operations stakeholders to ensure data integrity and compliance across automated platforms

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related engineering or scientific discipline • Master´s studies in Process Control or equivalent desirable • Minimum 5 years’ experience involved in the design, implementation, and/or support of control systems, preferably in the chemical industry • Advanced proficiency in DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA architecture, Industry 4.0/IIoT, and manufacturing dashboards • Knowledge and skills in requirements gathering, design, configuration, integration, and implementation of automation solutions for the manufacturing industry • Knowledge of PLC/DCS systems, field bus technology, HMI packages and panels, OPC, SCADA systems, historians, and field instrumentation • Experience with continuous and batch automation applications • Knowledge of process optimization analytics including predictive quality, predictive throughput, predictive energy efficiency, and autonomous automation technology • Knowledge of holistic digital architecture and Process Control systems • Understanding and working knowledge of Big Data/Analytics, AI/ML, and emerging technology trends • Extensive leadership experience in chemical plants automation
