📋 Description

• Support the accounting and financial operations of Orbital Engineering, Inc., Valve48, and EIP • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, budgeting, month-end close, and compliance across multiple entities • Ensure accurate financial records, strong internal controls, and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Assist with the day-to-day accounting and financial operations • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of operating results against budget • Help maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls • Support compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements • Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audit preparation and related documentation • Partner with operational leaders to provide financial information and support business decision-making • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and operational efficiencies • Assist with cash flow monitoring and financial planning activities • Support the development and mentoring of accounting staff as the department grows

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university • Finance or Accounting degree is preferred • Five to ten years of experience in a senior level finance or accounting position • CPA is preferred • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
