Origin is an endpoint observability and security platform for agentic AI. It gives operational intelligence about AI agents and local MCP servers across a fleet, discovering sanctioned and unsanctioned installs, attributing every action (prompts, tool calls, file changes, network calls) to the user and agent, and reconstructing end-to-end traces. Origin surfaces security risks, audit-ready logs, and AI spend analytics so CISOs, CIOs, and developers can govern AI adoption across enterprises. It runs at the endpoint layer and emphasizes continuous visibility, attribution, and cost/usage clustering.

📋 Description

• Own technical value realization for a portfolio of strategic customers from first live data through durable adoption and expansion • Work directly inside customer tenants and systems to understand AI workflows, operational constraints, and consequential problems • Interrogate traces using Origin's dashboard, SQL, ClickHouse, APIs, and MCP-based tools • Create useful discoveries and turn them into queries, canvases, dashboards, signals, integrations, workflows, prototypes, and production code • Lead technical discovery with customer engineers, security teams, AI platform teams, and executives • Translate ambiguous business problems into tractable technical work • Scope and deliver customer-specific solutions while deciding what should become core platform functionality • Design and implement custom telemetry integrations, data adapters, analytical logic, and full-stack experiences • Partner with Deployment and Engineering to remove access, integration, reliability, and rollout blockers • Write technical specifications and contribute directly to Origin's codebase • Establish measurable value narratives for customer engagements • Document reusable patterns and recurring gaps for Product and Engineering roadmap decisions • Help define the operating model, tools, and standards for the Forward Deployed Engineering function • Travel up to approximately 20% may be required

🎯 Requirements

• At least five years of experience building and delivering production software, data systems, security products, or technically complex enterprise solutions • Strong hands-on engineering ability across some combination of Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Rust, APIs, backend systems, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure • Ability to independently explore unfamiliar, high-volume datasets and find meaningful signals inside noisy operational data • Experience working directly with demanding enterprise customers and operating credibly with hands-on engineers and senior executives • Ability to decompose vague, high-level problems into technical decisions and shipped artifacts • High agency and ability to act independently in unfamiliar environments • Strong product judgment distinguishing bespoke workarounds from reusable platform capabilities • Clear, direct communication and ability to explain complex systems and connect engineering work to customer outcomes • Sound judgment under pressure and ability to make scope, speed, and quality tradeoffs • Strong follow-through and documentation skills • Genuine enthusiasm for working alongside customers • Daily fluency with modern AI development tools • Nice-to-have experience in forward deployed engineering, technical consulting, professional services, solutions engineering, or customer-facing solution delivery • Nice-to-have early-stage startup, technical founder, or early engineer experience • Nice-to-have experience with dashboards, detections, analytical workflows, or high-volume event/telemetry data products • Nice-to-have experience with enterprise identity, SSO, endpoint management, observability, SIEM/SOAR, cloud infrastructure, or security operations • Nice-to-have experience with AI agents, LLM applications, evaluation systems, MCP, model gateways, or agent observability • Nice-to-have Windows and/or macOS operating-system fundamentals • Nice-to-have security operations, incident response, red teaming, or EDR/XDR experience • Nice-to-have AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform experience • Nice-to-have domain expertise in healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, supply chain, or technology
