📋 Description

• Design and architect IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud solutions aligned with Microservices/SOA frameworks • Produce implementation-ready documentation, bills of materials, and cost estimates • Develop and publish cloud policies, design patterns, and reference architectures • Lead cloud adoption, cultural change, roadmaps, and stakeholder communications • Prepare solution descriptions, technical approaches, assumptions, risk assessments, and mitigation plans • Govern architecture compliance with enterprise technology standards, security requirements, and industry best practices • Identify skill gaps, develop training materials, and provide technical guidance • Interface with vendors to ensure standard architectures are followed • Leverage AI for on-premises-to-GCP migration and automation of systems, applications, and workflows • Automate complex tasks and integrate cloud services with on-premises and third-party platforms • Participate as an IT SWAT team member for high-priority problem resolution • Translate technical concepts for technical teams and executive leadership; produce briefings, technical documentation, and architecture diagrams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 13 years of IT experience or 17 years of IT experience without a degree • Must be eligible for a Position of Public Trust, including U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, five years of U.S. residency, and no more than six months of international travel in the past five years (excluding travel for U.S.-based work or Military Service) • Active Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Certification required • Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and scaling solutions on Google Cloud • Ability to integrate GCP with SaaS and on-premise platforms (Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Linux, etc.) • Current knowledge of AI and Industry trends, applied to modernize and accelerate software delivery practices (Agile, TDD, CI/CD) and enterprise IT standards • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure: networking, compute, storage, virtualization, high availability, and monitoring • Preferred: Scripting/automation proficiency in Python, Shell, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or similar • Preferred: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Kafka deployment in production environments • Preferred: Proficiency in Generative AI and prompt engineering • Preferred: Knowledge of IT compliance frameworks (SOX, PCI) in cloud environments • Preferred: Experience with ITSM/ticketing system integrations and workflow processes • Preferred: Familiarity with monitoring-as-code practices and version control systems
