📋 Description

• Write web stories independently or collaboratively on environmental and Great Lakes-related topics • Assist with promotional emails, publications, and marketing materials to recruit students for Stone Lab courses • Develop educational content for outreach displays on harmful algal blooms, wetlands, aquaculture, and pharmaceuticals in water • Collaborate with graphic designers on publication layouts and visual communications materials • Write news releases highlighting program research, events, and achievements • Create short video scripts for researcher spotlight and YouTube summary videos • Develop brochures, fact sheets, posters, and other outreach publications • Craft social media content showcasing research, education, and community impact • Maintain media contact lists and publication databases

🎯 Requirements

• Current student interested in science communications, journalism, marketing, environmental science, or public relations • Resume required • Cover letter required • Three writing samples required • Final candidates subject to successful completion of a background check • A drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process
