• Support the launch and ongoing growth of Otsuka’s Rare Neurology Franchise • Communicate complex clinical data, protocols, screening and treatment pathways, market access policies, therapy access, and patient support information • Engage ALS Centers of Excellence, healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and non-clinical stakeholders • Educate stakeholders on ALS disease awareness, screening, diagnostics, and treatment prioritization • Develop and maintain HCP and KOL relationships as a credible clinical resource • Support positive prescribing experiences through Otsuka access and patient support programs • Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings • Develop strategic account plans using customer feedback, diverse data sources, and market intelligence • Navigate ALS Centers of Excellence, identify stakeholders and contacts, document process flows, and advance Otsuka objectives • Address treatment logistics, site-of-care considerations, patient onboarding, and therapy initiation barriers • Partner with Market Access and Patient Support to compliantly remove therapy access barriers • Identify and document referral networks and ALS patient journeys • Address barriers to diagnosis, specialist referral, genetic testing, genetic counseling, and treatment-center connection • Collaborate with Thought Leads Liaisons, Medical Science Liaisons, Case Managers, leadership, and other cross-functional partners • Use Otsuka platforms and technology to document account contacts, IDN process flows, and community referral patterns • Attend meetings and training programs and implement brand strategy, messaging, disease-state knowledge, and customer-engagement tactics in the assigned region
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards • Bachelor’s Degree • Minimum 8 years of experience in Biotech/Pharma commercial field strategic roles; 10+ years preferred • Experience in new product launches • Center of Excellence and IDN Navigation, including KOL engagement • Rare and/or Ultra-Rare Disease experience • Cross-functional field team coordination • Background in rare neurology, CAR-T, or Gene Therapy account management strongly preferred • Advanced clinical degrees such as BSN or RN prioritized but not required • Proven track record of success, including consistent Top 30% ranking over 2+ years or achievement awards • Must reside in the assigned region • Ability to understand and articulate complex clinical data and outcomes • Experience with strategic account planning, market intelligence, hospital purchasing, coding, reimbursement procedures, treatment logistics, patient onboarding, and therapy initiation barriers • Ability to map patient journeys, referral networks, diagnostic pathways, genetic testing, and genetic counseling • Ability to complete required training and certifications on approved resources, messaging, business acumen, compliance, and engagement policies
